Good morning, Church Family.
Here are a few updates that some may have missed.
Divine call
On May 21, 2026, St Luke Lutheran Church was assigned Pastor Ethan Prins. See letter from Pastor Prins below.
Church Service - Please see our church calendar at www.stlukewelsjackson.org
Church Services continue to be on Sunday at 12:30p.
The Lord's supper continues to be on the 2nd and 4th Sundays.
Any changes to the service times and communion schedule will be discussed at the congregational meeting on July 26th.

June 20th - Paint the fellowship hall
July 17th - set up Fellowship hall for installation dinner - 6:00pm
July 19th – Church Service - 12:30om (Pastor Prins and his wife will be attending)
July 19th – Pastor Prins Ordination/Installation - 4:00pm
July 19th - Tear down and restore fellowship hall - 7:00pm
July 26th – Quarterly congregational meeting after service - 1:30pm

Dear Saints beloved of the Lord,
On Thursday, May 21, I was assigned to serve as the pastor of your congregation at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Jackson, MI. I was delighted to receive this call at the end of a long road of preparation. God in his grace has preserved me through the years of study and I know he will continue to bless and preserve us in this new chapter of ministry.
The Lord promises to provide workers for his church, and in his wisdom he has seen fit to put the life-saving gospel message in the mouths of sinners who need to hear it as well. Only the gospel message of God’s love for sinners in Christ creates faith in hearts and turns the spiritually dead into living heirs of all God’s goodness. I rejoice that God in his grace has trained me and called me to serve as such a proclaimer of the gospel to you and your community. By the Lord’s continued grace I look forward to serving you, his saints, with his life-giving gospel, equipping you for lives of service as God’s chosen people, and working with you to reach those who don’t yet know God’s love for them.
My wife, Kellie, and I eagerly anticipate our move to our new home and the opportunity to get to know our new church family. We look forward to learning about the ministry of St. Luke and Jesus Loves Me Learning Center, and we can’t wait to find ways to serve.
